San Gabriel Mountain Orb Weaver Spider

While on a hike today in the San Gabriel Mountains, I found this spider.  I’m having difficulty identifying it, so if you can help, feel free to leave a comment.

  • I can't help you with an ID, but it looks distinctive enough - surely some spiderman will know what it is. Nice looking beast!

    Nice shots! The genus is Araneus, but I am not sure of the species.
